You are now the proud parents of a beautiful baby who has Down syndrome. Don't tell anyone, but you have just joined the most wonderful group of parents in the world!
We have all had to go through that natural, difficult process of finding out our baby has Down syndrome but we discovered something wonderful along the way. We found out that our son or daughter is a wonderful person who has much to offer this world. They have come to teach us unconditional love and for that we are most grateful.
Please know that a baby with Down syndrome is a child first. Your baby needs the very same things from you that any precious newborn needs.... the chance to beloved, rocked, kissed and snuggled!
Sometimes the sadness we feel at first hurts more than anything we have ever experienced. But that's okay...it is all part of the healing process.
In a very short time you will wonder what you ever did without your sweet little one. Please call us because we love you and we truly care.
Most of all we love your baby and are thankful that that this little one has come as one of our greatest teachers. Enjoy your baby. Know that life is good.
With all our love,
Your family at Sharing Down Syndrome Arizona
